CORONA Satellite Photograph over Kok Tepa (October 20, 1964), the most important archaeological site of an ancient city in the Zerafshan river basin except for Samarkand (Afrasiab) dating back to the 9th century BC. Archaeologists discovered a bronze mirror of Han Dynasty China (3rd century BC to 3rd century AD). Through viewing this image, we can see the upper town in the southeastern corner of the mound and the citadel at the southeastern tip.
